(Click on a Pokemon to see its name, status, and location met!)
BOX 1
(No Pokemon Chosen)

Rules

  • The two obligatory ones: 1 Pokemon per route, 1 faint and you're out. Exceptions to this rule include the shiny clause, duplicates, static encounters/gift mons not counting towards a location, and only coming into play after getting Poke Balls.
  • Give every pokemon a nickname.
  • Allowed to swap out Y exclusives for X exclusives if I prefer the X pokemon and allowed to use PKHex to evolve trade-evolutions at level 36 as long as all requirements are met.
  • That's pretty much it.

Deaths, and how they happened

  • Dunes the Sandile, got fucking one shot by a Solosis with Hidden Power. WTF?
  • None others, yet

Pokemon Y Nuzlocke

Well... Hey there. I started this Nuzlocke back in 2022 as obvious. Recently I've been revisiting this site and I thought I was pretty close to the end anyway. Why not finish it? X and Y are easy games, and maybe an easy game is nice once in a while.

12/5/23 - Fairy Badge and Present Day

Current Team: Ry the Staraptor, Witch the Delphox, Cynthia the Gabite, Vine the Venusaur, Izzy the Azumarill, Tumble the Pangoro

It actually appears I beat Valerie before I stopped playing and just never wrote an update for it. Here's a delayed one. I don't have any commentary about Laverre because of that. I do like Laverre, in the present day, and I love Valerie's character design. I would love to write her sometime, I think she'd be an interesting character to flesh out.

It really is funny how pitifully easy these games are. And how poorly my computer runs a double battle. My computer serving up a good ole 7fps. The team Flare admins unsurprisingly are a cakewalk despite the scientists being 4 levels above Pangoro. Calem's Meowstic fainted. Good thing he's not the one doing the nuzlocke though I think it's unfair his stupid cat gets to live and my poor Sandile died valiantly against a Solosis.

It's funny being here after over a year playing the same Pokemon save again. It's nostalgic in a way. I still think I'll do randomized RSE next. Emerald probably because I think it has the biggest variety in things to do and trainers to fight. Also I have a soft spot for it. It was a childhood game I had... and lost... Come back to me Emerald, I miss you...

I have decided to ban Snorlax and Lucario outright. For obvious reasons. Snorlax is a beast, and Lucario is a free mega evolution of an already incredible Pokemon. I don't need much more explanation than that.

We'll see when I play more of this. Soon? Knowing me, it'll be another year and a half. But it will be Anistar's Psychic badge!

Old Updates

4/12/22 - Lumoise Badge

Current Team: Ry the Staraptor, Witch the Delphox, Cynthia the Gabite, Vine the Venusaur, Izzy the Azumarill, Tumble the Pangoro

The Lumiose and Coumarine badges are so back to back I don't think a full update is necessary. Everyone's evolved except Cynthia the Gabite now, which is cool! A special fuck you to Lumiose's camera. God I hate Lumiose's camera.

I think I'll do randomized RSE next. Probably use a number generator to pick one of the games. Should be fun!

Next up is the Fairy badge from Valerie in Laverre. Such a weird trainer design.

4/11/22 - Coumarine Badge update

Current Team: Ry the Staraptor, Witch the Braixen, Cynthia the Gabite, Vine the Venusaur, Izzy the Azumarill, Tumble the Pancham

This game really is easy huh :') It's pretty funny to me that the rival has 3 pokemon that don't even have full movesets. Cheren around this point in B/W had four pokemon with full movesets. Not even a nuzlocke can make these games harder. I'll probably be doing Ultra Sun or Moon after this one, the trials will probably give me a good run for my money. That, or a RSE Randomizer Nuzlocke! They both sound like a good time...

I was so psyched to see Gible on Route 13! I'd resigned myself to the fate of getting Dugtrio (who isn't bad but definitely less cool than Garchomp). I've decided not to use the gift Lucario because the game is already easy enough, plus I want to use Pangoro. I definitely think a lot of the pokemon have strong designs in X/Y and Pangoro is one of my favorites.

This game has a pretty alright start but it really feels like it's dragging its feet at the 4-badge mark. It's still fun, but I'm waiting for something to happen lol.

Next badge is the Voltage badge from Clemont in Lumiose. Expect a fully evolved team by then!

4/10/22 - Shalour Badge update

Current Team: Ry the Staravia, Witch the Braixen, Tremble the Tyrunt, Vine the Ivysaur, Izzy the Azumarill, Tumble the Pancham

Shalour badge has been obtained, very easily! Izzy (Azumarill) has insane IVs AND Huge Power as an ability, so she swept both Machoke and Hawlucha in one hit while Ry (Staravia) took out the initial Mienfoo.

On a side note, why do no teams in XY seem to have over 4 Pokemon or a full moveset? That plus the EXP Share makes this game a cakewalk.

I am having much more fun with Y than I thought I would, though. The environments are very nice and it's a pretty damn relaxing game to play when you're stressed out. I hated all of the Kanto nostalgia in XY when it first came out, but I honestly don't mind it anymore. (Except Santalune Forest just being a reskin of Vermillion Forest is lame and a lot of the Mega Evolutions being given to Kanto pokemon is lame too.)

On to get Lucario! Not sure if I'll use it, but I'm forced to get it anyway lol! Next badge is Ramos. See you then!
